M.PATMOS, by Marcia Patmos, is an understated and elegant knit-driven collection, focusing on high quality, season-less weights, and modern fits. The look is layered and casual, yet refined and feminine. The collection is available at Barneys New York, Kirna Zabete, Le Bon Marche, Harvey Nichols Hong Kong, and other high-end specialty boutiques around the world.
The Fall 2012 inspiration began with a trip to the Pacific Northwest section of Powell’s Bookstore in Portland, Oregon when visiting in the spring. The book “The Women” by Edward S. Curtis features portraits of Native American women from the early 1900’s, captured in strikingly modern outfits, mixing plaid trading blankets over traditionally beaded and embellished textiles. The mixing of natural materials were extremely graphic, textural, and impactful.
M.Patmos is also continuing an eco-footwear collaboration with Manolo Blahnik using vegetable tanned leather and adding a sustainable jewelry collaboration with masters, 10,000 Things.
I really love the mix of colors and textures throughout the M.Patos Fall 2012 Collection.
